About the Image(s)
Leica Q3 (fixed 28mm Summilux f/1.7)
1/4 sec @ f/11; ISO 100
I've recently been experimenting with different photographic techniques. I saw these lawn chairs with bright Autumn foliage behind them all framed by some trees. Thought I'd try another ICM image. Looking forward to hearing what you think.

Glad that you're having fun with the Q3. Good job capturing the contrast between the fall colors and the lawn chairs.   Posted: 12/03/2024 02:15:29

Michael, the bright golds and blues in your image attract my attention. The white trunks of the trees work particularly well in ICM images in my opinion. When I have experimented with ICM images, I have sometimes used added detail in one section of the photo by using a composite image (For example, just on the trees). Have you explored with the idea of using a composite that includes an ICM photo? Just curious about what experiments you've tried, Michael.   Posted: 12/05/2024 22:41:51

Thanks for your comments, Ruth. I've only just begun to explore ICM and all of its iterations. Haven't yet tried what you are describing.   Posted: 12/05/2024 23:09:07

I really like this shot. There is an eeriness to it because you can still tell it is trees and lawn chair but your movement makes it all appear ghostly. Did you use a tripod?   Posted: 12/05/2024 22:59:21

Hi Andres. Thanks for your comments. This was a hand-held shot, bracing it against my body as I tipped the camera upwards during the exposure.   Posted: 12/05/2024 23:10:38

Michael, great ICM image. You have the primary colors in there with yellow being dominant and framed nicely by the two birch trees. And your technique allowed the viewer to see what was being captured but with an artistic flair! Very nice.   Posted: 12/16/2024 21:43:00
