This scene is one of the traditional dance performances in Vald?©s, Asturias (Spain). Vald?©s is a Spanish municipality in the province of Asturias. People dressed up in traditional outfits and carried a palanquin with loads of bread for performance. They later put their breads for auction.

I like the authentic, traditional look of the dancers in your photo. The background scenery and darkly clouded sky provide a wonderful setting for the performance. The colorful costumes, ribbons, and palanquin add to the vitality of the scene. I'd prefer that the dancers and palanquin be sharper. Plus I think, the faces of the dancers could be brighter, since they're backlit and in shadow. Posted: 12/06/2024 19:45:04
Hi Kiel-Hanh. Looks like you are traveling for the Holidays - how fun! Your image this month is a nice documentary / travel shot. You have captured the essence of people and place and in that sense it is well done.

Kieu-Hanh, how nice that you are traveling over the holidays. This scene is beautiful with the costumes against the green grass and dramatic sky. I agree with others about the focus. Perhaps your shutter speed was too slow for the dancers movements. Posted: 12/16/2024 21:52:14
