About the Image(s)

We took a day trip to the West Virginia panhandle to enjoy the Fall colors and stopped at a farmer’s market on the way back. They had arranged their pumpkins in 2 long rows. I took this shot at close to ground level to make it appear that the line of pumpkins stretched all the way to the horizon.
Nikon Z6, Nikkor Z 24-200 at 24 mm, 1/160 sec, f/4, ISO 100.
Edited in Lightroom Classic and Photoshop (generative remove used).

Perfect time of year for this. I admire you for getting down low to emphasize the foreground pumpkins, yet produce the feeling that the patch went on forever into the background,. The only suggestion I have would be to use the Highlights filter in ACR to reduce the reflections on the pumpkins and give it more of a look that you used a polarizer.   Posted: 11/06/2024 21:54:24

Robert, nice shot from an unusual camera angle. I like how it appears the pumpkins stretch onward toward infinity. Beautifully exposed and nicely sharp where it counts and the softness in the background keeps my eye from exiting the frame.   Posted: 11/06/2024 22:30:52

Robert, I like your inventive low camera angle. It does give the illusion that the line of pumpkins goes on and on. I also appreciate your composition with the diagonal line of pumpkins leading to the disappearing lines of pumpkins in the background. The fall colors make this a pleasing, seasonable photo.   Posted: 11/07/2024 18:32:50

Robert, very good shot made better by excellent cropping. The two lines of pumpkins connect very nicely. Well done.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:27:17
