About the Image(s)
Not much change except to make it a lot brighter than the original. Added a stroke to help the dark areas stand out from the background. We were on cruise of lower South America. Valparaiso is the capital of Chile.

Hi Joan. A nicely captured image of this harbor at night. I have no suggestions…although you stated you added a stroke to delineate your frame, but the image as presented does not have a stroke. For clarification, your title says Argentina, but Valparaiso is, indeed, in Chile. And while it is a capital, it is the capital of the second largest administrative region of the country. Santiago is the capital of the country as a whole.
Sounds like it was a fabulous cruise!   Posted: 11/02/2024 16:51:06

Michael,
You are right, of course. Valparaiso is indeed the capital of Chile. My bad. Also, I don't see the white line around the image. I may have sent an earlier one. We also visited Argentina and its capital, Buenos Aires. We didn't usually take cruises, but a friend wanted us to join her, and we had never been to South America, so it sounded like a fun idea.   Posted: 11/06/2024 21:24:45

Joan, the nighttime lighting of this photo of Valparaiso captures beautiful reflections in the water and action of the port. All the lights shining on the Valparaiso hills make a beautiful background. It sounds like an exciting cruise! I hope you were able to explore Valparaiso in the daylight too. All the murals on the buildings are remarkable.   Posted: 11/07/2024 18:51:09

Joan, what a nice travel image. I like the colors and the reflections. I find the lights on the one cargo ship a bit bright so my eye keeps goin there. Perhaps bring those highlights down just a bit.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:14:10

Joan, you managed to make a beautiful photo of a cargo port. The reflections in the water and the lights in the hills in the foreground are nicely done. I would be curious about the setting you used for the shot.   Posted: 11/17/2024 20:43:15

Joan. This is a wonderful travel image. Just curious, did you use a tripod or were you able to capture it handheld?   Posted: 11/21/2024 22:20:26

I have to kick myself in the head once more. The capital of Chilie is Santiago, not Valparaiso. W hat was I thinking?   Posted: 11/23/2024 18:34:56

Hi Joan,
Nice travel image! I like the orange lights of the city in the distance that look like little stars. I found that the rows of white lights near the center draw the viewer's eyes there.   Posted: 11/29/2024 14:26:38
