About the Image(s)
The photo is from a plant growing in an abandoned area near my home.
A 90mm lens mounted on a tripod was used. Shutter speed of 1/60s, with an aperture of f/40 and ISO 100.
The post processing includes tweaking of the contrast, highlights, midtones and shadows. A little sharpening. A vignette was added.

What an intriguing flower! The vignette was a great idea and I like the simple color scheme. The center is all so nice and sharp, fascinating subject!   Posted: 10/02/2026 22:24:00
Hi Gaetan: Very sharp detail on the orange flower.
To me the dark shadows on the leaves are a bit of a distraction. A lighting diffuser would have softened the lighting on the green leaves. Hold the lighting diffuser just out of the picture, it takes a little practice to get the lighting just right.   Posted: 10/08/2026 03:04:23
