About the Image(s)

F 1/320, f/4, ISO 100 at 150 mm (FF), at 8 AM, March 27th.
Cold sunrise with some ice on the flowers. I took my camera and took some pictures in the garden. (This is not a study as Mo....).
I tried to have as little as possible background and still having an interesting position of the flower.

LR: Cropped (4:3), Auto and increased the Texture and Clarity. A mask to darken a little the background.

Hi Vincent: The morning light with frost on the Tulip is interesting, we seldom if ever see frost on Tulips as they bloom too late in the spring for frost to happen.

You have done some post processing work on the background and that improved the picture. The angle on the Tulip flower is a bit different than we usually see, as they usually grow straight upward.   Posted: 07/02/2026 05:48:08

I like this image and the frost is so crisp! I might darken the right side a bit, but otherwise superb!   Posted: 07/02/2026 17:01:49

Living in a tropical climate, I do not have the opportunity to have a look at a Tulip. Now, do not talk about frost on Tulips. It is a good shot, sharp with a blurred background. However, the green stalk on the RHS acts as a distraction. The frost on the flower give more 'punch' to the photo.   Posted: 07/07/2026 13:11:27
