A 35mm Velvia 50 slide copied into a digital file. Original slide was photographed in 2000, some images we photograph are timeless. Original slide photographed with Pentax film body with Tamron 90mm macro lens in cloudy lighting. The slide was copied into a digital file with Nikon D700 with 200mm macro lens on tripod. Slide was placed and photographed on a daylight corrected 5000K copy box.
Shooting star is the common name, the scientific name is Dodecatheon and there are many cousins in his flower group ranging in size from 4” tall to 16”. The various species are found from sea level to alpine areas in various mountain ranges in the United States.
