About the Image(s)
There is an abandoned town near us called Concrete City. Basically, an experiment in housing that went wrong. Structures made of concrete didn’t work out so they abandoned the town. It’s mostly overgrown and graffiti from top to bottom inside and out and the only place that I include my .38 revolver win my camera kit. All that archaeological decay and graffiti is extremely interesting. I decided to capitalize on the disparity of the decay with some beautiful fresh cut flowers. I brought a huge armful and spent the day jamming them in cracks and laying them out on the walls and floor.
Nikon Z6, 105mm, f16, 1/125, ISO 400 handheld defused strobe with pillow diffuser.

In addition to a 38 revolver in your camera kit you must have had various colors of pressurized canned spray paint to paint the background concrete the colors you needed to add to the overall impact and mood you wanted to create.
In closing just let me say this picture is not the work of a beginner photographer, but the work of a highly talented camera craftsman.
Looking forward to your astute comments on our pictures in this round.   Posted: 10/06/2025 17:19:38
