Description: Fruit Tree Blossom By Lake Michigan

Post
1. Photoshop Camera Raw, Increased color vibrancy and texture+clarity
2. Photoshop Layer Styles, Used combination of style effects to extrude light points and create brush stroke effects from those light points so it is respectful of the original capture but stylized just a little bit to show off the colors and shapes.
Light was great, colors were awesome. Favorite time of year.

Hi Alison: This picture shows the essence of spring very well. The out of focus branches in the background complete the nature story.
Technical qualities are excellent in all ways. The thin white border adds that finishing touch to a spring mood picture.   Posted: 07/06/2025 05:20:40

The branch and the flowers in the foreground is in focus. I find that the out of focus part in the middle left and top somewhat distracting as they are of the same colour as the main part. Perhaps, by moving somewhat, a blue background would have been better.   Posted: 07/19/2025 05:08:19

The picture has many flowers (petals) and is quite busy, but I like it very much. This is the new life of the spring (I suppose) and represent the beauty of the Nature, and we have nice colors (Red, Green, Yellow and Blue).
Good diagonal composition.
Maybe higher DoF (you were only at f/6,3)?   Posted: 07/21/2025 18:48:50
