1/800 s, f/11 ISO 500, 105 mm macro. Taken mid June.
Quite a high speed as there were some insects I tried to catch (not with this picture).
Very few corrections in LR: increased the exposure and texture. Decreased the highlights and black.
There were a lot of this flowers (a large bouquet) at my mother's house. I only took pictures of a flower at a time, iso taken once all of them (as a bouquet). It will be for next year. I found them very beautiful and special.

Hi Vincent: Think the name of this is Red Hot Poker, it is a common plant in landscaping. Grows in a large clump of many stalks.
Your centered composition works okay in this picture and is sharp enough. To me the background is far too bright and distracting, it would be an improvement if you were to darkened the background a lot. Hey Vincent, Totally get where Murphy is coming from, that said I will counter,purely out of preference, and say I really like the green and lens blur since it contrasts dramatically with the plants cascading colors.Nice focus and light.
