About the Image(s)
In June in the morning (7:00 AM) I took some pictures around home. I liked the light and the threads of the spider's web. The simplicity...
I think I should use a larger DoF...

Hi Vincent: A very pleasant picture of a weed seed head.
The seed head is sharp except for near the bottom there is some softness; I like the way the spider web threads standout which add another point of interest.
In regards to more depth of field; you could use a smaller aperture such as f/11 and have better sharpness at the bottom of the seed head, however your nicely diffused background would possibly become somewhat busy. Sometimes it is a trade off, you can fix one situation and in the process cause an issue in another part of the picture.

Thanks Murphy.
It is not the first time I made this "mistake"... and it was possible with the ISO...   Posted: 02/05/2025 12:03:05

very cool - both in regard to the composition and the colors. You provided enough space and I even like the slight lean to the right. I agree with Murphy about fixing one situation might make another worse - however, Lightroom has a great program for making a background out of focus; meaning make the image sharp and then post-process the background to the extent you want. Indeed Ray to process the background.   Posted: 02/05/2025 12:04:15
I like the composition and the fact you can see the web. I think I can see the spider hiding in there! I am probably not experienced enough yet to share constructive critique however I enjoyed looking closely at the picture and its little hidden extras   Posted: 02/05/2025 00:04:37
