Judy, good composition, good colors. Suggestions are to dim the background a little more to make the flower stand out more and perhaps clone out small petals that intersect the sides (only useful if still obvious). Do not know your f stop, but the edges of the large petal closest to the bottom at 7 o'clock seems slightly blurry as does the very center of the flower. Ray   Posted: 01/10/2025 01:18:38

Hi Judy: You do not mention if you photographed this Poinsettia with your cell phone or your regular DSLR.
Overall the flower is soft in focus, has kind of a dreamy look. Did you use some kind of a softening filter to achieve this "look"?
The background is quite busy and distracts from the red flower, some selective cloning in the background would really do wonders for this Poinsettia image.   Posted: 01/10/2025 12:29:21

I like the composition, well done.
I agree with the background. The bottom left corner has part of petals, which disturb me a little. Almost he same the right. As the composition is old, it is better to remove this parts than to crop it.   Posted: 01/17/2025 13:04:48
