About the Image(s)
Pentax body with Pentax 60- 250 @ 112mm - On Tripod - ISO 200 - 1 second @ f/16 - cloudy and no wind - polarizing filter. Post processed in Elements.
A natural scene of our Pacific Northwest rain forest which was photographed in a State Park. The scene features old growth Douglas Fir trees a few hundred years old, then the green leaves are from Vine Maple, a small tree. This is an area of high rainfall in the Cascade Mountains so the Vine Maple trees are covered with a thick layer of moss. Used a polarizing filter to reduce the natural sheen from the gray clouds above.

Murphy, an intriguing image and one that really provides the feeling of a rain forest, colors are great, everything in focus as far as I can tell. so, great! Wish I could have been with you. One funny comment - for some unknown reason, my eye was drawn to the upper right corner where it looks like there are 3 vertical white dots. Also, there is one bright green leaf on the left very near the bottom I would suggest cloning out or dimming. Ray   Posted: 01/10/2025 01:10:28

Hi Ray: YES!! Wish you could have been with me on that day, you would have enjoyed the experience of our Pacific Northwest rainforest and came away with some great photos. On this day the stars were in a perfect alignment to make this photo; soft cloudy lighting, not the slightest of breezes to move the Vine Maple leaves. Hard to find the general conditions this perfect, it does not happen like this every day. Probably what I consider a "life time" shot.   Posted: 01/10/2025 01:52:22

Very nice image of a rain forest. You were at the right time.
The trees on the background give the impression of a strange forest. In fact I see three kinds of trees (3 grounds). Foreground the tree with the moos, behind the trees with the leaves and in the background, "my" strange forest.
When looking to the subjects seen by the good eyes of Ray, Ki was attracted by the brown object (part of a branch?).
Very good nature picture.   Posted: 01/17/2025 12:59:37

Hi Vincent: In answer to your question regarding the brown objects nestled among the tree branches near the right border, they are Douglas Fir cones. cheers...   Posted: 01/22/2025 04:27:05
