About the Image(s)
Are pirates still around today? Blackbeard in 2025? No, but there is the saying “Keep Portland Weird” that a lot of us enjoy and a few really try to do it. This is a guy at the Portland Public Library doing his best. There were a lot more people all dressed for that day having a great time. Taken with my W1 several years ago with a little Photoshop help. I added his flint lock pistol, removed another person on the stairs fixed the W1 flash shadows and cropped some less interesting sides of the image.

Very nice 3D image. The image has nice depth. There is no window violation. To me, the image look a little dark. Minor curve as well as shadow adjustment can further improve the details on the stairs. The bright area on the top can be trimmed too. A quick trial is attached   Posted: 03/19/2025 06:00:03
Initial impression: Interesting character. His pistol looks a little off in 3D. Was it a flat image converted to 3D and placed on the 3D image of a stairway?
I just read your description, I think the pistol addition made me think the pirate was a conversion.   Posted: 03/21/2025 20:40:54

A good study of the reenactor although as he is in dark clothes against a dark background he is rather lost. If put into Lightroom the shadows could be lightened as I suspect that it was not a RAW image   Posted: 03/22/2025 22:38:34
The crops and cloning are well done. I don't think the pistol adds enough to make it worth the effort.   Posted: 03/28/2025 04:28:34
