About the Image(s)

The Pura Tirta Empul temple in Bali has many holy springs which are known to be made by the God Indra and can purify the ones who bathe in them. (For details please see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tirta_Empul )

Camera Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W3. ISO-100, Exposure time 1/180 sec, F-stop f/3.7, Focal length 6mm. Auto aligned in SPM. Adjusted saturation and trimmed the image a little. This image didn't perform in PSA 3D Annual PJ. What are the defects? (Another 2D image of the same site with Canon R5 performed well in many 2D competitions)

I read your comments and I realize it is a ritual purifying bath but this also looks like great fun and a possible respite from the heat. The stonework is amazing and gives a great sense of the age of the temple. The happy gentleman that "photo bomb'ed" the shot may be unfortunate but also gives it some balance. He is a focal point for sure. Perhaps that is what was considered a distraction/defect?   Posted: 01/17/2025 22:21:24

I knowingly added the gentleman to fill the near object, so that the image has a near, middle and distant subjects in the frame.   Posted: 01/21/2025 06:40:15

good stereo image, and happily it brings me back to that place. i'd only just gotten into doing cha-cha shots with my new Canon G2 when we toured Bali.   Posted: 01/18/2025 17:45:47
