About the Image(s)

This is a combination of two 3D images. The “Steam Up Tractor” was at an event called the “Brooks Steam Up” that happens each summer here in Brooks Oregon. All the old farm equipment is fired up and drive around so people can see what was used back in the early 1900s. The “Old Barn” was an old fallen down barn that used to be here in Portland that was removed to make room for the TRIMET Transit System garage and parking area for all the busses. I put both 3D images together for this “Old Tractor” image

You have done well in combining the two images to create a very interesting period scene. That old building would have been great to spend a couple of hours photographing it. The old tractor also looks dangerous   Posted: 12/07/2024 20:53:37

I have several images of the building form all sides, but I thought it best to not take pictures of it up close nor inside.   Posted: 12/13/2024 00:35:14

I thought this was a "colorized" image when I first saw it and guessed the tractor was from and old B&W photo. How wrong I was.
The pink color cast of the dirt on the left side of the image doesn't match the color of the dirt in the front of the tractor. But I guess it is that way on the original. You may want to "match" the colors even though it would not be faithful to the original.
The tree trunk behind the driver really jumps between L and R images. I know it is inherent to the 3d but when I focus on the driver the L-R difference is very noticeable and a bit unfortunate. It is only my opinion but I wonder if the tractor would be better shifted "down the road" if possible. Or perhaps adjusting the deviation of the background image somewhat.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have always noticed the color mismatch of the two images. I'll have to find the PhotoShop file where I put them together and adjust the colors to match better. I think the barn image is a bit to hyper, so I'll see if I can fix that as well. Dave.   Posted: 12/16/2024 20:10:14

Nice image. You have done a good work in combining the two images. The image has nice depth and no window violation. Well done.   Posted: 12/21/2024 18:30:15
