About the Image(s)
This time I took a different approach of converting the RAW file into B&W … and that was done via ‘Hue/Saturation’ layers. The initial result was quite promising and the remainder of the work by way of adjusting contrast, cropping, sharpening, etc., was carried out in the normal way.
Incidentally, tree trunk was extended marginally on the left side to give the picture better balance. Would welcome your views!

Nice composition, especially after you cropped the image. This is a story-telling picture that is interesting. I would fill the small washed-out area to the right of the tree with some grass from the darker area. You may use a low opacity clone brush.   Posted: 11/01/2023 14:23:44
Hi Palli,
Nicely done after your modest correction from Arik. Great compositional balance and an interesting subject. Most appropriate title!   Posted: 11/04/2023 13:18:45

The foreground tree trunk makes this for me, Palli. It frames the image so well, and right along the sun line also.
Alas, people on phones are all too common in todays times, but they say it's like yester years images of people reading newspapers ;)   Posted: 11/05/2023 00:59:43

Hi Palli, Phones are a plague for us photographers, especially with street photography. In your image the phone does not intrude. I like the balance between the tree and your subject. The highlight tones could be toned down. As usual your processing is great.   Posted: 11/07/2023 10:30:34
Palli
I have to try using Hue/Saturation layer as a BW rendering technique...So much to try so little time
Wonderful framing with that big old tree and nice tonal range as well Your model adds so much to your image
Well done

Palli, this image, for me, is a chapel created in a natural setting. How you used the tree as a frame and the tonality of the highlights creates a space wherein one can easily image that the model is in a spiritual place contemplating the big questions. Splendid work.   Posted: 11/22/2023 11:28:44
