About the Image(s)
Taken in Cambodia a few years ago near Ankgor Wat. Any suggestions on exposure appreciated; I think perhaps a little more contrast might be called for.

Jack, I like the image as is, but perhaps it might be brightened a bit and the highlights accented. My eye is curious about the object or critter at the end of the path. What is it? Posted: 08/01/2026 16:08:38

I know this group is always happy to see a path through the woods flanked by trees and this a great example.
I too think your image could benefit from dash of dodging.

I love the scene and the composition. The tree trunks and branches lead your eyes through the frame. I agree with your thought about adding a bit contrast. Posted: 08/01/2026 17:51:16

I really like this. I'm a sucker for vanishing paths and this works well. I do think removing the motorcycle would be a good move, but otherwise really like the composition. I agree with the others about dodging the foliage, especially near the tree trunks. Posted: 08/04/2026 16:55:03

The scene and composition are wonderful. It is a very nice location with the path down the center and the great trees. The IR really enhances the 'bones' of the trees!
I've been playing recently with linear gradient and radial filters to keep the center bright but mold the tones of the foreground and left and right to darken them just slightly to lead the eye down the path to the center of the image. This would be a perfect image for that type of tonal molding. Posted: 08/17/2026 02:41:59
