About the Image(s)
This image of oak trees, is meant to elicit a kind of fruit trees in bloom feel. I like black bold trunks, but does it feel too heavy to you?

I am fan of trees as an IR subject, bare, fully leafed out - you name it
I like your composition here the trees are separated and the tall grass adds interest.
My thought is to dodge the trunk of the foreground tree a bit to bring out its bark texture since it is the anchor to your scene

Hi Jack. The composition and processing look good to me. The dark trunks are perfect. They create dynamic links between the light grasses and the tree foliage. Beautiful picture.   Posted: 07/01/2026 16:35:58
I like the dark tree trunks with contrasting grass. The tree on the left may be too dark, losing too much detail (in my opinion).   Posted: 07/01/2026 17:57:37
Jack,
I like a good contrast between white leaves and dark trunks so this work pretty well in my opinion. I agree with Emil and Steve that a small amount of dodging to bring out trunk detail would work well here.   Posted: 07/02/2026 16:43:51
