About the Image(s)
A bench waiting for somebody anybody to have a seat. The sun light drew me to this scene.
Workflow: I rendered the image in BW using NIK Silver Efex, a touch of Detail Extractor and then the masking tools in LR to dodge and burn the image. A little cleanup on the left part of frame using generative fill.
Camera: 720nm Canon 7D, Canon 24-105 f4 lens at 70mm, 1/80 sec at f11, ISO 200, -.33EV

Emil, I like how you captured the dappling of light in this image. The bench invites you to sit, to reflect in peace. Lovely!   Posted: 04/01/2026 16:40:38
This is one of those subjects that always catches my attention. The sense of anticipation in an empty park bench is one of my weaknesses.
This is absolutely terrific. The composition and handling of light is spot on.   Posted: 04/01/2026 18:07:48

I'm always attracted to empty benches, and this one is a good find. Nice handling of the capture and post work.   Posted: 04/01/2026 19:44:30
Empty benches elicit so many possibilities, and add in the nice light, and this is very nice Emil.   Posted: 04/10/2026 01:23:23
An inviting image invoking a sense of solitude. I like how you removed the distractions leaving only the bench in the forest.   Posted: 04/13/2026 20:12:04
Hi Emil, This is a beautifully lit scene. We are drawn to it and can make up the story of what will happen on that bench! Nicely seen and well processed.   Posted: 04/14/2026 16:05:36
