Emil, having taught at a Franciscan University for over 4 decades, I am biased to anything having to do with St. Francis. This statue is lovely, capturing the reflection adds much. Thank you for deleting the car. Thank you for sharing this fetching image.   Posted: 10/01/2025 16:32:34
Emil, an impressive image . The darker reflection on the lower part contrasts nicely with upper statue. Great post processing   Posted: 10/01/2025 19:38:16
Hi Emil. Many judges reject photographs of sculptures or painting, claiming that they are not your art. I argue that you can photograph someone else's art and still make the picture your creative art. Your picture here is a perfect example that proves my point. The composition, inclusion of the reflection, removal of the bright leaves on the left, and IR made it your beautiful art.   Posted: 10/01/2025 21:27:36
Emil,
Wonderful image. Your composition is spot on. Cleanup and other processing is appropriate for the overall image. I'm particularly struck by well you handled the reflection.   Posted: 10/02/2025 22:20:34

I agree with Arik's comment that you've put your own touches on this piece of art, by including the beautiful reflection. It's compelling. Something to keep in mind for future images like this, is, you don't need to let the reflection divide the image in half; you can include more of the subject, or of the reflection, and make it off center a little, to add interest. That said, I think the way you've handled it works here.   Posted: 10/03/2025 22:47:18
Hi Emil, Like some others I have a thing about photographs of other peoples artwork. No problem for me here. You have inserted yourself beautifully into the image. The reflection pool there is such a winner. I may have lifted the camera up to include more of the gardens behind the statue and show less of the pool.   Posted: 10/05/2025 16:22:28
