About the Image(s)
I have not used my Canon IR camera in several months so I charged it up and hit the back yard for some shots, I realized I lost my muscle memory because it is so much heavier than my Olympus OM-1. I like shotting
grasses. The challenge is creating a compelling image after all is said and done from the chaos of tassels in my yard.
Workflow: Rendered the image in BW sepia using NIK Silver Efex, a touch of Detail Extractor, and a crop. A spot of dodging over the right foreground tassels.
Camera: 720nm Canon 7D, Canon 24-105 f4 lens at 76mm, 1/60 sec at f11, ISO 200, 0 EV

Hi Emil. Simple and beautiful composition with a common subject. The shallow DOF creates depth and separation that allow the viewer to focus on a small area. The low contrast works here. I would remove the small bright grass near the top left corner. Nicely done.   Posted: 08/01/2025 00:46:05
