About the Image(s)
From a set of fall images at a local park that is close by. The “original” is something I played with to see if I could bring out the color but I did not have the courage to post as a final. If anyone would like to add a thought on it
I would welcome it.
Workflow: Rendered the image in BW using NIK Silver Efex.
Camera: 590nm Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 24-105 f4 lens at 24mm, 1/60 sec at f11, ISO 200, 0 EV

Hi Emil. You found a great spot for this composition. The trees frame the curved path nicely. Good processing to recover the highlights and convert to b&w. I also like the original with the strong color. Nicely done.   Posted: 07/01/2025 13:19:12
I had a similar reaction as to Melanie's image, Emil, in that the original has such beautiful light, that doesn't completely convey to the IR. The latter has more of a winter's day, feel, which still works. The curve in the road is a nice compositional element.   Posted: 07/02/2025 22:47:28
Hi Emil,
I love boldness in infrared, but this scene was handled very well in tonality and contrast. Looking at the original, I almost like the colored version...wonder if the black and white version would look good with a tone applied to the whole image?   Posted: 07/07/2025 15:21:16

Hi Emil. This is an engaging scene. I must admit that as soon as I saw it, I was drawn to the original. This seems to be an image where color makes a lot of sense. Hope you will consider it.   Posted: 07/09/2025 19:38:38
Emil, I'm with Henry in my comments this month. The residual colors in the original render quite an interesting image. That said, the b&w version is interesting too, especially because of how the path brings the viewer deep into the image.   Posted: 07/10/2025 14:17:00
It's a lovely image with the curving road. I would try to add some more drama to the sky if possible. Perhaps the small branches would prohibit this without post processing halos being created.   Posted: 07/25/2025 12:46:31
