About the Image(s)
The beautiful architecture decorated by lush ivy and the green foliage and lawn make this campus a perfect place for infrared photography. In early June, I led a camera club field trip in Princeton. I decided to limit my photography to Infrared. I was happy with my decision. It was a way to get different pictures from all the other photographers. Many of my shots had bikes in them.
Post processing was minimal. As usual, I made tonal adjustments in ACR and a few final adjustments during the B&W conversion in Nik Silver Efex Pro. Noise reduction and sharpening were done in Topaz DeNoise AI and Sharpen AI. Taken with the Nikon D300, set to ISO 200, 1/60 sec, f6.3, EV -033.

Perfect application for IR, and your balance with the door and bike takes it up a notch from a straight shot of the building and foliage. Well done!   Posted: 07/01/2025 13:09:52
What are the advantages using Nik Silver Efex Pro vs Lightroom classic's adaptive B&W?   Posted: 07/01/2025 14:02:57
Besides the tonal adjustments, Silver Efex Pro has additional controls that provide nice tools for creating the final look. For example, film grain, toning, vignette, burnt edges, borders, and control points for local adjustments. If you'd like a quick demo, I'll be glad to do it over Zoom.   Posted: 07/01/2025 14:42:18

The well spaced foliage is simply dynamite here. The bike, windows, and door provide offset to the whites.
Well seen
