Shot in W VA in 2014 near Thurmond. Sat in my catalog all this time untouched.
Workflow: After rendering the image in BW using NIK Silver Efex, I followed my standard procedure of using the LR masking tools to dodge and burn the image particularly the foreground. I cropped the image square.
Camera: 590nm Canon 5D Mk II, Canon 24-105 f4 lens at 40mm, 1/20 sec at f16, ISO 200, 0 EV

I love photography in bad weather. The fog and clouds create daram and mood. The scene is beautiful to begin with, but the weather makes it special. Nicely composed and handled. Posted: 04/02/2025 01:45:32
