About the Image(s)
With all the foliage, water, waves and sky, this seemed like a natural for IR. I'll be the first to say...I'd like it a tad sharper!
Having said that, I put it though Topaz Photo AI and gave it a little nudge on sharpness and noise reduction. NIK Silver Efex Pro converted it to pure B&W. I leveled the horizon line before cropping and then adding a filter from Skylum Luminar 4...Dramatic>Mystic. My usual Nikon D300 converted to IR by LifePixel, 1/60th f11, ISO 400. 28-70 mm. Nikkor lens at 28mm.

Like Charles' bird, the eye goes right to the lighthouse in this image, Gary, and the nice light you have there. It's that part of the image, with the trees just above, that hold the most interest for me. You also have a very nice sky and mood for this. I might have cropped a little at bottom and left, but it's also fine as is.   Posted: 03/09/2025 14:08:10

Hi Gary, So simple but very effective. The lines in the water make this for me. My eye is drawn in to right where I should be looking. You have spotlighted the lighthouse very well. The muted sky helps to set off the fabulous water.   Posted: 03/10/2025 09:45:10

Gary, I like the composition and I like your processing here. The underlying image does seem to have pixelation issues, especially around the lighthouse. Not sure if it was an issue with the submitted jpg or what, but it does distract from an otherwise fine image.   Posted: 03/11/2025 13:56:50
Completely agree, Henry...I'll try to do better!   Posted: 03/26/2025 20:54:16
Gary,
Nice wide angle vista of the pacific. Your processing brings the viewers eye to the lighthouse on the hill side.
I wish you had used longer lens on the lighthouse.
