About the Image(s)
We have seen fabulous images from our group showing the fascinating Badlands. I went back to look at images I took while there. We visited The Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota in the winter. It was not ideal for infra-red as there was not much contrast to be found in the foliage. Thus I was disappointed with most of my recordings.
I think this was taken at Lake Pactola, but may be wrong. The black hill rocks surrounded the lake and I enjoyed the reflections hey made along with the decent sky.
after conversion, the image lacked contrast to bring out the reflections that I had liked. I used the history brush and select color in Photoshop to bring out details Looking forward to your comments.

I'm feeling very tranquil and "outdoors" as I view this image. You've put IR to very good use here. My only concern is the magnitude of the lake in respect to the size of both background and foreground. I think a lower camera angle might have solved that issue for me.   Posted: 01/03/2025 00:49:31
Well seen. My angst is the cloud reflection in the front part of the water feature - it is blah IMHO
