About the Image(s)
Quick shot of my backyard grasses on a fairly windy day
Workflow: I have not used my IR camera in awhile so I took a few shots in my backyard for my Nov image. After rendering the image in BW using NIK Silver
Efex, I followed my standard procedure of using the LR masking tools to dodge and burn the image.
Camera: 720nm Canon 7D, 24-105mm Canon f4 lens at 35mm, 1/25 sec at f16, ISO 100

I like how the blowing grass immediately tells a story Gary, and how you've trimmed down a potentially very busy scene into two distinct and interesting elements. Nicely done.   Posted: 11/03/2024 02:56:50

I can't see the edit button on my iPad, but apologies and edit to read Emil instead of Gary.   Posted: 11/04/2024 01:55:31

When we go to exotic locations, it's hard to create our own art and not just take the common pictures that everybody takes. Working in your backyard forces you to be creative and see images that others don't see. Nicely done.   Posted: 11/04/2024 18:02:45

Lovely abstract image, Emil. The square crop works really well. Great separation of foreground and background.   Posted: 11/04/2024 21:10:53

Hi Emil,
How well seen and captured. The square format works well. I like the movement and the mood. If anything, I might have selected the background and blurred it just a touch more than it is now due to depth-of-field.   Posted: 11/06/2024 14:04:08

Hi Emil, A lovely creative image. Perfect subject on a windy day. Beautifully processed. I would crop more off the top which to my eye would make a great graphic design   Posted: 11/10/2024 18:33:44

Emil, grasses can be so graceful and beautiful in the way they move and bend in lovely arcs. You captured this. Increasing the contrast by lightening the grasses was key to making this an artful image.   Posted: 11/21/2024 22:29:44
