Shot this milkweed image growing near my house near the road. Lighting was an overcast sun.
Taken at f-4, 115 sec. ISO 100. Exposure bias was +.5 stop. I was using my 200-macro lens on my tripod.

That is one healthy milkweed plant, and you captured it beautifully! I love the shallow depth of field with the nicely blurred background (bokeh). I also like how you retained the subdued red color. Wonderful lighting and composition as well. I cannot suggest anything to improve it. Posted: 07/03/2024 20:58:12

Hi Dick,
What a nice looking milkweed. I find the blurry one on the right a bit of a distraction and would have cropped it vertically with the sharp focused left side. Something like this.
