About the Image(s)

I took this photo while on a short hike last month. I was lucky at the time to find a milkweed that had not lost a lot of seeds! Taken using a monopod (which doubles as a walking stick). Edited in LrC.

Interesting shot of a milkweed plant. Nice texture. The white milkweed filaments pop against the muted, blurred background. I like the colors in the background. Great find.   Posted: 11/08/2025 14:52:38

You captured this milkweed with all its fine details exquisitely and were smart to have removed the leaf. I've heard of the f/64 club, but your f/603 aperture is overkill! :-)   Posted: 11/08/2025 17:24:03

I've always loved the fine floss of milkweed seeds. I never seem to in the right spot at the right time to photograph the seeds! You've done a nice job of capturing these seeds with a beautiful background.   Posted: 11/09/2025 13:54:04

Nice shot of milkweed. The milkweed seed pod is very difficult to get a good image. The filaments seem to never stop moving due to any amount of breeze. Filaments have nice detail in this image. Nice composition with a great background. Not sure about your f-stop. Maybe you can explain. Great shot.   Posted: 11/17/2025 02:08:40

Thanks to all for your comments. I was lucky to find this on a day with virtually no breeze. The f stop was as typo. f/6.3.   Posted: 11/19/2025 13:17:34
