About the Image(s)
Money plant also known as Honesty is a biennial. Many times, grown for its coin-like silvery, translucent seed discs used in dry fall flower arrangements. They have beautiful magenta flowers. Mine are in full bloom now.
Taken at f-4 at 1/60 sec at ISO of 400 using my 105-macro lens. I took this image in my back landscape in the morning with the sunrise supplying the back lighting. I was using a tripod with a polarizer on the lens.

Outstanding! What a beautiful, dreamy backlighting. The completely blurred background adds to the dreamy image, and the seeds (?) in the translucent leaves add a ton of interest. Perfection!   Posted: 05/02/2025 15:27:34
Thanks, David, for your comments. Yes, those are the seeds beginning to form in the seed pods. They are separate from the leaves. Each seed grows to be about the diameter of a pencil. Late summer the membrane on the outside (both sides) of the seed disk ripens and will slip off. The seeds will then fall to the ground leaving the translucent disk behind, about the size of a silver dollar. Thus, silver dollar plant. You can see the seed pods form very quickly as soon as the flower falls off. In this image there are both flowers and the fruit disks.   Posted: 05/02/2025 16:11:14

Hi Dick,
I really like the soft, dreamy feel of this image. The flower is beautifully complemented by the gentle greens, and the bokeh and translucent seed pouch are just stunning.
Great image!
