March 2025 - dew covered Amond blossoms

About the Image(s)

California has thousands of fruits and almond orchards. Here is a closeup of some almond blossoms. It has some raindrops on them, as we have had several days of rain this past week. This orchard is within walking distance of my home.

Nice painterly presentation of almond blossoms. Great find, Shirley. Looking forward to the Spring.   Posted: 03/11/2025 13:07:17

I am not a big fan of Topaz textures assuming that is what was used here. So, I can't any practical or useful comments. From a compositional perspective, I like the diagonal arrangement of the blossoms.   Posted: 03/12/2025 05:09:39

I too am not a fan of the texture used on the flowers. The texture to my eye is too much. I would like to see the natural beauty of the flowers.   Posted: 03/16/2025 21:07:55

I like the strong, diagonal composition. I think the opacity of the texture is far too high and distracts from what I imagine was originally a pretty image.   Posted: 03/26/2025 21:48:33
