About the Image(s)
I set up the flower inside using ceiling lights for lighting. Three
exposures were bracketed @ 1EV apart. They were merged and processed in
Lightroom and Photoshop. A tripod was used.
Nikon D850; Tamron Macro 90mm lens; f/32; ISO 100; various shutter speeds

The vibrant flower was well captured with all its petals and stem in sharp focus. The background also seems in focus especially on the right side to the point where the sharpness is a little distracting. I would suggest blurring the background a tad.   Posted: 02/03/2025 01:18:47
Thank you for your suggestion, David. I can do that.   Posted: 02/06/2025 01:00:14
Great detail in each petal with the sharp focus throughout. Shooting at f-32 you really have to back the background back more to throw it out of focus. I would prefer a different background that's darker maybe green. When you light from directly overhead the flower tends to be flat and lack depth. I like the composition with the space around the flower.   Posted: 02/18/2025 21:39:33
Hi Barbara, the amount of detail in this flower is amazing, and you have captured it beautifully. I like the composition and the slight curve of the stem.
I agree with the other comments about the background-blurring it could make the flower stand out even more, and perhaps a different tonality could complement the flower better.   Posted: 02/19/2025 23:34:15

Hi Barbara , I like how you were able to get sharp focus throughout and great detail. I find the background a little distracting especially on the right side. Perhaps, if the background was blurred evenly throughout it might work better.   Posted: 02/22/2025 02:31:18

Such color! The background wonderfully compliments the primary color of the gerber daisy. Nice sharp focus. I think I would have preferred a little more room in the composition above the main subject.   Posted: 02/23/2025 00:41:00
