About the Image(s)
For this month's image I‘ve chosen one that I took in a garden close to my house in Sydney. What I particularly liked was the curve of its pistil and the detail in its stamens

Great image with beautiful lighting on this Hibiscus. Wonderful composition with the curve of the flower. Nice detail throughout the flower. Really like how the stigmas on the end of the pistil have a fringe around their edge in a circle that's white, this really makes them stand out and add interest to the image. Like the separation of the flower from the background. Might tone down some of the bright areas in the background.
Overall, a great image that's very well done. Beautiful!!   Posted: 12/04/2024 18:41:16

Wow! This is probably the most interesting image of a hibiscus I've ever seen. That curvy pistil with all those fascinating stamen really make this a unique image. I also like how you composed the image to include the flower and some leaves. Excellent!   Posted: 12/04/2024 19:02:38

Beautiful! Great composition and colors. You captured sharp details on the hibiscus. Love the curve of the pistil. Perfectly exposed. Frame it, Maria. It's lovely.   Posted: 12/07/2024 16:52:52

Great composition and detail. Maria,I always find hibiscus difficult to photograph. You have captured it well. It is beautiful. I agree, you have to frame it!   Posted: 12/16/2024 02:52:47

Hi Diana,
Thanks for your comment! I agree with you-hibiscus flowers are not the easiest to capture in detail due to their shape and size. Mastering the depth of field can sometimes be quite a challenge.
