About the Image(s)
Took this image at Longwood Gardens in Kenneth Square Pennsylvania. What caught my eye besides the colors were the lines the groups of plants and colors make. The lines create a neat zig zag path taking my eye into the garden. I also love the tree on the left which frames the scene. The tree also forms some great lines. It was a perfect overcast day.
Taken at f-22 at 1/3 sec. exposure, ISO 200 with an exposure bias of -.3 step. Focal length was 122mm with a polarizer on the lens. Camera was on a tripod.

What a outstanding and well-composed image! It looks like a painting, and I mean that in the best way. The zig-zag pattern of the red flowers grab your attention, especially in a two-dimensional image. Just beautiful! I'll be at Longwood Gardens next week, and I just might have to find this scene myself!   Posted: 11/03/2024 11:55:48

Great shot, Dick. This is a lovely image with lots of color and shapes. Good perspective and depth of field. There seems to be two black lights in the left foreground that could be removed. The image is very pleasing to my eye. It looks like a great place to visit.   Posted: 11/07/2024 15:17:43

Good eye to see the lights. This place is a must see to do photography. When I went there, I had to get a permit to use my tripod which is a must for me. They have some really great fountains to see. I was allowed to use a tripod until noon. Not sure what the rules are now that was several years ago.   Posted: 11/07/2024 21:26:06

This is one scene I would love to see on my wall... Perfect composition. The colors are crisp and sharp which happens under overcast skies. I would like to see a bit more space between the tree on the left side and the edge if the image though.   Posted: 11/17/2024 00:59:09
