About the Image(s)
This image was taken with my Nikon D 7100 with a 105mm macro lens. F3.8, ISO 400, 1/800. I took this photo with natural light against a white background and then adjusted the image in Camera Raw to increase contrast, clarity and vibrance. I inserted a background texture to add interest.

Ingrid, you created a beautiful dahlia image with vibrant yellow and magenta colors that were brought out with your excellent post processing skills. The magenta border adds to the consistent color scheme. If I were to suggest any changes, I would add a vignette blur to the outer petals and stem to focus attention on the center of the dahlia. Of course, that is only my personal preference. I took a stab at doing this using Nik Collection's Color Efex vignette blur filter.   Posted: 09/05/2023 18:28:21
While David's rendition is interesting, I like the full flower view you have. It's sharp and the chosen background sets the flower off well. It seems to have a "painterly" effect - like a watercolor or drawing. Very nice.   Posted: 09/08/2023 20:35:01
Here the background is part of the image. Love the colors and the fact that you titled the flower to the right and not straight up and down.   Posted: 09/18/2023 15:45:02
