About the Image(s)
Last Sunday I went to the Traverse City Airport to pick up my son on an arriving flight scheduled for 2:30 pm. I knew that the Blue Angles were scheduled to do an airshow along the lakefront at 3:00 pm, so I took my camera just in case. I had to wait several hours at the airport but, while waiting outside, I did get to take a few pics of the Blue Angels as they flew over and around the airport during their airshow.
I used my Sony A7RV handheld on manual with a 28-200 zoom
at f7.1, 1/800, ISO auto (125). About the only thing I did in post was crop in a bit from the right. I took a number of other pics but I like this one because of the perspective created by the low pass with the trees in the foreground.

Quite the action shot! Fantastic! My only suggestion is maybe remove the a some branches from the lower tree to get more sky under that 2nd plane.   Posted: 07/04/2024 00:49:21
This is an amazing shot, and captured while waiting for at the airport! I agree with Tim's crop and his suggestion to give the planes more room on the left. But knowing this was semi-planned, makes a difference.   Posted: 07/19/2024 22:27:00
