About the Image(s)
I took this photo at a local wildlife conservation center just as the horses were being turned out to pasture. Getting a clean shot was challenging because I couldn’t get close enough to clear the tall grass in the foreground. While I originally shot the scene in color, converting it to black and white really brought the image to life for me.

Luisa, maybe finding a way to photograph the horse without all the grass would have been best? Maybe you tried to take out the grass in front of the horse? To me the horse is just to too hidden in this photo.   Posted: 10/08/2026 02:01:30
Luisa,
I agree; the horse largely gets lost behind the bushes in the foreground. It looks like you were able to get good focus on the horse, in spite of the bushes in front. Since I can't see the original color image, I don't know how to compare the b/w. You can include the original image - I usually do.   Posted: 10/08/2026 03:50:24
