This image was photographed during a street photo walk session. The two ladies were having an animated conversation at the entrance to the church. I took the photo because I liked the subject of the two women talking to each other , and the colors in the background as well as the arch on the doorway.
Settings: aperture : f/5.6, shutter speed: 1/80 sec, ISO: 100, focal length: 53mm
During the post processing I cropped the image from the top and bottom to remove the additional space and highlight the doorway. I also cropped from the left to remove part of a cart that was on the side of the road. I enhanced the colors and adjusted the histogram using photoshop.

You captured a timely interaction between these two women in front of the church entrance. I like the framing of the arch and the vertical row of fence pickets. The texture of the sidewalk and the shadows also add interest. The yellow pipes frame the image left and right but also are a bit distracting to my eye. See attached as another cropping possibility. Good street photography capture. While the women are the story, your capture also accents the arched entrance. I like Dean's idea for cropping. It took away all distracting elements and made for a stronger image. Posted: 07/06/2026 14:53:29

I agree with Dean. The yellow pipes are a big distraction and not needed, but the archway and the women is what makes the image. It's a nice candid shot. Posted: 07/06/2026 17:21:28
