About the Image(s)

This was taken on March 19. I was on my first outing with the Yolo Art & Ag group in 4 months. Fortunately it was a small orchard/farm, but the trees were amazing. Unfortunately, I can't bend down yet (still back issues) so every shot had to be standing height. Here's the info:
Camera XT3
ISO 80
F/7.1
37 mm
Manual

Anne,
This is a pleasing pastoral image. The tree frames the visual centerpiece of lawn furniture. The sky could use a few clouds but that doesn't always happen.   Posted: 04/14/2026 14:58:09

Thanks Dean! The trees on that property were just beautiful. I wish I could have bent down to get different angles. My back is getting fixed today!   Posted: 04/14/2026 15:09:01

Anne,

For various reasons and circumstances, we cannot always carry through on what we otherwise would do. It is important to know what you would've done and bear it in mind for future trips when your back better.
I am struck by the way the tree dwarfs the pieces of wooden furniture that share the same tones as the live tree. The range of blues in the sky add interest to that feature in spite of the lack of clouds that can enhance skies so much. The range of shades of green is pleasing.   Posted: 04/18/2026 12:13:48

Thanks Diana! When you're in your 80s, there are a lot of reasons and circumstances in your way. I've had back surgery and I'm bending more. That property had such amazing trees. I was showing my photo buddy, who could bend, more interesting shots that I couldn't take. That's life!   Posted: 04/18/2026 14:21:33
