This was taken July 16, 2023 at Mono Lake South Tufa's. While a lot of other people were taking Sunrise pictures towards the sunrise. I chose to take photographs the opposite direction. I love the color of the sky looking towards the West, pinks and purples in the mountains are so lovely against the sky, Tufa's and water.

Karen, this is a lovely scape. I can see why you turned around. I think it could be improved with bringing out the details more (maybe detail detracter in Niks) and saturating the colors more. Was it shot as a panorama. Good job! Posted: 12/18/2025 01:31:24
