About the Image(s)
This blue flower is known as Spiderwort. It grows prolifically in our yard and garden in areas that I don't mow or cultivate. A few days ago I walked outside in the morning and could literally hear all the buzzing bees moving from flower to flower among the Spiderwort.
The image was taken with my Sony A7R5 with a close up 100mm lens, 1/1250, f8.0, ISO 3200. Other than the crop, the image was converted from raw with minimal processing.

This is an amazing shot, Dean! The sharp details and color look perfect to me. The complementary colors of blue and yellow really pop. The background is well blurred to keep focus on the sunject.   Posted: 07/06/2025 15:19:06

This is an incredible capture. The pollen ball near the tail, the bee nosing into the flower, and the sharpness in detail, down to the individual rains of pollen on the bee's body are all phenomenal. I would be tempted to crop in even closer so the flower fills the background, if possible, which might require a little rotating of the angle. You probably will be left with a tiny bit of the background here and there in the end, but I would like to see as much of the bee and its glorious details as possible.   Posted: 07/14/2025 23:58:33
Dean, this is a beautiful capture. I love the deep blue and bright yellows. The detail in the bea if perfect. I like the crop as you made it, and the square too. Really nice!   Posted: 07/16/2025 23:30:39
