About the Image(s)
Admittedly, I am not much of a people photographer. I took a blacksmithing class last week and got this image of the instructor demonstrating a technique.
I didn't have my "real" camera with me so this is a phone (Pixel 9) pic. The exif info indicates: 1/1050, f17, ISO 20.
I cropped in; added a vignette; and adjusted contrast and skin tone.

I am not much of a people photographer either. This pic is very nice. I like the intensity in his face and the crop pulls you right in. I would love to do a people photograph this well.   Posted: 02/02/2025 14:13:48

The image was clearly captured at a time of day with very bright light. Cropping in closer to the action helps focus in on the craftsman and his art, and toning down the light concrete also helps focus the eye on the working man. It is a nice candid photo seen and executed with your camera at hand- the smart phones.
I would suggest leaving a little more space on the left; the right could come in slightly- an eight inch. The skin tone looks good; I personally would like to see a little more vibrance in the clothing, table, wrench, and other tools.   Posted: 02/05/2025 21:30:45

Dean, nice capture. It has a story and an interesting activity. I like how you darkened the concreate. I think you could have left the whole table in it, and that would leave more of the blue tool in the photo.   Posted: 02/20/2025 16:54:28
