About the Image(s)
This was taken in the museum at the lighthouse in Michigan on a recent trip. I loved the detail. It was behind glass so I could not get too close. It was taken with my Olympus camera and Olympus 14-150mm lens at 36mm, 1/13th second, f5.2, and ISO 800.

I like this very much and I like that you have the background environment which helps tell your story. I also like the angle at which you took this shot. The chess board and pieces are in perfect focus. My only suggestion is to add a vignette to help keep the focus on the Chess Set.   Posted: 09/09/2023 15:13:20
Great somewhere-in-time image. It is very interesting and I like looking around the image to learn more of the story. I do find the blue jacket distracting, only because it isn't quite obvious what it is and just seems to be a blue-hanging thing in the background. The other elements make sense. Cindy's suggestion of vignetting helps.   Posted: 09/19/2023 11:21:47
I like the natural light coming mostly from behind the table and the near elimination of shadows. The angle of composition allows viewing of fine details of the chess set that otherwise might be left out. Could you have improved the shot if the glass had not been there? This is one of the best angles possible.   Posted: 09/27/2023 23:24:44
I am sure that I could have done better without the glass being in the way, but as it was, this is the best angle.   Posted: 09/28/2023 07:27:14
