Yellow Gerber Daisy by Cindy Lynch

October 2026 - Yellow Gerber Daisy

About the Image(s)

This flower first appealed to me because of the shape and bend of the stem. I took photos with several different “poses” but liked this one the best. I liked the one petal bent out of shape with the rest. I set this up by a window with a brown paper behind it and used a tripod. Settings: f/5.6, ISO 200, 1;15, 70 mm focal length.

I absolutely love the colors and the composition of this image. The crisp focus of the petals and the bright lighting on same contrast with the bokeh dark background. stunning!   Posted: 10/02/2026 23:54:16

Kia Ora Cindy. I totally agree with Elizabeth - your colours and composition are wonderful. I like the single petal breaking away from the rest.   Posted: 10/03/2026 00:48:31

I wouldn't change a thing! I like everything about the photo but especially the graceful arch of the stem. The one petal that isn't perfectly positioned is perfect. Rarely is nature so the picture seems real to life.   Posted: 10/03/2026 15:13:12

I agree with the comments before me. Great composition and colors.

The middle segment of the stem is a little fuzzy. May want to consider increasing the f stop or focus stacking.   Posted: 10/10/2026 17:58:18
