About the Image(s)
This is an image I took on a recent trip to the butterfly house at the Tuhura Museum in Dunedin. I love going there, but the high humidity means it's not good for my camera! My settings were 208mm, 1/250sec, f/6.3 and ISO640.
I cropped in, and removed the remaining blurred butterflies in the background and on the right hand side. I lightened the background using a white to transparent gradient, then slightly increased vibrance on the butterfly's wings.

Very nice image; interesting to see a butterfly on something besides a flower. Well done on the post processing to focus on your primary subject. The only thing I might suggest to to desaturate the yellow in the background a little so it doesn't compete with the butterfly.   Posted: 04/17/2026 01:06:10
