This is an image taken on the last remaining birch tree in our backyard. We have lost 2 over the past eight years. I always find the bark that peels off fascinating and photo worthy. This shot was taken with my Sony a6500, Tamron 12-70mm lens set at 50mm, f8 ISO 200 for 1/320 sec. Processed in ON1 Photo RAW where I cropped in a little, added dynamic contrast, boosted the Whites slider and sharpened the image.

A lovely photo that is well seen. The snow adds so much to the image, You handled the whites perfectly. I love this! I, too, like birch trees. Growing up in Ct, we lived in a development called Birchdale Heights and enjoyed birch trees in our back yard. Posted: 11/17/2025 16:33:24
