About the Image(s)
This long shoe string was being used to support a sunflower in our backyard. Replaced it with other straps, so I just threw it over my shoulder. When finished with the upgrades, I turned around and saw how the string had landed on a trellis. Thought it would make a nice pic. The colors and drape were eye catching on first impulse. Taken with my Sony a6500. 35mm 1.8 lens at f7.1, 160/sec, ISO200.

It is a nice pic! I like how there is the spot of vibrant color against the more neutral tones of the fence and grass. Without knowing your scenario, one would wonder about how that got there. You captured the texture of the strap beautifully as well.   Posted: 07/19/2025 12:38:14
It looks like the shoe string was carefully placed as the composition is very good. I especially like the two red areas coming together in a kind of a V at the bottom. You are really lucky to have it look so good with just a toss.
The shoe string and trellis are sharp with a nicely blurred background. The pattern of what looks like a cyclone fence in the left middle is a bit distracting and draws my eye from the pattern of the shoe string. That said, you have a very nice image.   Posted: 07/21/2025 20:22:41

You have nice texture and color in this photo. The depth of field and focus are excellent. I would suggest cropping in tighter. In this shot, I don't think you need the context. I also used a vignette. I wonder how it would look if you piled them up on a plain or reflective surface for a more abstract shot - so many possibilities.   Posted: 07/26/2025 01:43:52
Very nice, I like all the colors and textures. I might crop in a bit closer.   Posted: 07/28/2025 14:05:28
