Luminar Neo Stacking Tool
Back on track of the original idea of a tool, I finally pulled out the 1 x 2 x 3 Blocks. Used for quick setup, measurement and calibration in multiple manufacturing processes, etc., the blocks are accurate to within .00002 of an inch in squareness and parallelism. Single shots did not capture the spriit so I took time taking 13 frames. Luminar Neo had an upgrade with the stacking tool which I think is an improvement over older stacking programs. Quote from Lord Kelvin. “If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it.”

Kia ora Andrew - I'm a sucker for geometry and precision, so I love this simple, geometric image. And I love the quote - so true. I really must try focus stacking - it gives such a great result. Well done!   Posted: 03/11/2025 15:39:01

You have the most interesting close up still life objects. everything is in focus and the composition is good. I don't have any suggestions for improvement.   Posted: 03/14/2025 17:03:07

You captured these interesting items very well. Thank you for telling us about them. I like the placement of them, the lighting is very good and the background is good. Your focus stacking made everything sharp. Very well done.   Posted: 03/19/2025 18:52:54

Well done industrial closeup. Strong composition with nice even lighting. Focus stacking work well for this shot goes along with providing the detail and precision the story promotes. I really like that your placement shows the internal threads of the blocks, which is a detail that be easly overlooked.   Posted: 03/19/2025 20:07:49

You always find the coolest objects to shoot. This interesting, but feels a little flat. I'm wondering if you can up the contrast or maybe make it black and white and play with thresholds a bit. It would become a very abstract looking image.   Posted: 03/25/2025 23:45:21
