I had an idea for a picture of a tool and was sidetracked by bees gathered at a bird fountain. My camera was already mounted on a tripod so I switched to continuous focus and let the frames fly. This frame caught a bee just after it touched the water which I missed by a split second.

Well done capturing this guy in mid flight. Nice detail on the bee (wasp?). One suggestion might be to darken the white "stone" area on the right side, it's a little distracting.   Posted: 01/15/2025 22:50:32

I agree with Bob's comments about darkening the stone on the right. I also think you could crop out half of the stone. It doesn't add much to your image. On my monitor, the image is very pixelated which is probably the result of cropping in so much.   Posted: 01/17/2025 02:37:41

Very good to have noticed the bees. You captured an interesting image with the bee flying toward the bird fountain. You had to crop in too much, but at least you got a good image. I would have cropped it differently, to show more of the water below the bee, and less of the fountain. I did remove the out of focus bee on the left.   Posted: 01/20/2025 22:00:45
